Commander's July2010 Newsletter
Post 9 is developing a marketing plan. The plan will include ways and means to market AMVETS and AMVETS Post 9 in particular. As the commander reported previously, the talks between Holiday Retirement representatives were ongoing in June. The talks have been concluded and Post 9 has a new post home. The Holiday Retirement - River Place has opened its dining facilities, meeting rooms and office space in which our Post Service Officers can meet with veterans seeking assistance on VA and other issues. Charles M. Grevau Post 9 will conduct joint events that will be of great benefit to our Chattahoochee Valley veterans residing on both sides of the river. Our first post meeting at River Place will take place on August 4, 2010. Supper will be served at 6:00 P.M. and the business meeting will convene at 7:00 P.M. Invitations will be mailed soon.. The supper portion of the meeting requires an RVSP. A member must also submit the RVSP for spouse and/or guests. No prepaid RVSP, the member and guest can only attend the meeting portion of the meeting. The Post Executive Committee encourages all post members to come to this meeting, to learn about the new post membership benefits. The psot has gained six new members so far in the month of July.
